The SOS (Self-Opening Sack) paper packaging machine is designed to automate the filling of products into square-bottom paper bags (similar to "flour sacks") that stand upright on their own.
The SOS system allows the packaging to stand upright on its own, providing excellent aesthetics at the point of sale and facilitating logistical stacking. It is a robust solution that automates everything from opening or forming the bag to final sealing.
Depending on the technical configuration, this equipment can operate in two main ways:
- From Pre-Formed Bags: The machine uses a feeding magazine where the bags come pre-glued and folded from the factory. The equipment performs vacuum "grabbing," opens the bottom, fills the product, and seals the top.
- From Rolls (Form-Fill-Seal): A complete line that receives the paper in rolls, forms the tube, folds and glues the SOS bottom, dispenses the contents, and finishes the packaging.
Industries and Applications:
This equipment is widely used in sectors that require durable, breathable, and sustainable packaging:
- Food Industry: Essential for packaging wheat flour, cornmeal, sugar, grains, coffee beans, and powdered mixes.
- Animal Nutrition Industry (Pet Food): Dry pet food and treats in medium-sized paper packaging.
- Chemical and Construction Industry: Packaging of decorative mortars, grouts, and powdered additives. |
