1.769 / 5.000 A straw applicator is an essential piece of industrial automation equipment for the final stage of beverage and liquid food packaging lines.
Its function is to integrate the individual straw into the packaging quickly, hygienically, and precisely, preparing the product for immediate consumption by the end customer.
The process occurs in fractions of a second and follows four main steps:
- Transport: The packaging (cartons, cups, or sachets) passes through a synchronized conveyor belt.
- Straw Feeding: The machine pulls the straws from a continuous roll (coil) and cuts them individually.
- Glue Application: A hot melt system sprays precise drops onto the packaging or the straw itself.
- Fixing: A mechanical arm or applicator presses the straw against the packaging in the exact position so that the consumer can puncture the seal afterward.
Automatic straw dispensers are primarily used for the following packaging types:
- Carton Packaging: Milk cartons (flavored milk, juices, and teas) (200ml to 1L).
- Sealed Plastic Cups: Milk drinks and mineral water in cups.
- Juice Pouches: Flexible packaging with a spout or puncture point.
Types of straws:
- Straight Straws.
- Articulated Straws (U-shaped).
- Telescopic Straws (those that extend).
For the beverage, food, and dairy industries.
For Juices and Nectars: Packaging from 200ml to 1L (e.g., children's juices);
Teas and Isotonic Drinks: Yerba mate tea, green tea, and sports drinks in cartons or cups;
Mineral water, soft drinks, and fruit drinks;
Chocolate milk and flavored milk;
Yogurts and dairy drinks;
Special milks: Plant-based milks (oat, almond) in individual packages. |
