A continuous production line for chocolate granules is used to manufacture these small pieces of chocolate that are widely used to decorate desserts, cakes, ice cream, among other products. There are two main types of chocolate sprinkles: hot chocolate sprinkles and cold chocolate sprinkles.
Hot Chocolate Sprinkles:
Chocolate Preparation: The chocolate is melted and tempered to ensure the desired quality and texture.
Formation of Granules: The melted chocolate is placed in molds or extruded onto a conveyor belt, where it is cut into small pieces as it hardens.
Cooling: The granules are cooled quickly so that they maintain their shape and structure.
Cold Chocolate Sprinkles:
Chocolate Preparation: The chocolate is tempered in the same way as for hot sprinkles.
Formation of Granules: Tempered chocolate is poured into molds or onto cooled surfaces (chilled marble, for example) and then cut into small pieces.
Cooling: The granules are left to harden at room temperature or in cooling chambers.
