What is it for:
Centrifuges are equipment used in industries to separate components of mixtures, based on differences in density or particle size. They are widely used in clarification, purification and separation processes of solids and liquids.
2. How It Works:
Centrifugal Force: The centrifuge uses centrifugal force, which is generated by the rapid rotation of a cylinder or drum, to separate the components of the mixture.

3. Types of Centrifuges used in Industries:
Decantation Centrifuge (or Sedimentation Centrifuge):
Separation of liquids from solids or liquids from immiscible liquids. It uses the principle of sedimentation to separate the components.
Filtration Centrifuge:
Used for the separation of fine solid particles from liquids, using a porous medium that acts as a filter.
Tube Centrifuge (or Microcentrifuge):
Designed for small volumes of liquids, usually in test tubes. It is commonly used in laboratories for rapid centrifugation.
Basket Centrifuge (or Perforated Basket):
Ideal for separating solids from liquids in larger volumes. The perforated basket holds the solids while the liquid is discharged.
Disc Centrifuge:
It uses rotating discs to create thin layers of liquid, allowing efficient separation of solids. It is used in industrial and laboratory applications.
Push Centrifuge (or Peeler Centrifuge):
Designed to process large volumes of solids. Use a scraper to remove solids from the cylinder.
Tilted Basin Centrifuge (or Tilted Basin):
It uses a tilted basin to improve efficiency in separating solids and liquids.
Basin Disc Centrifuge (or Disc Basin):
It combines features of the disc centrifuge and the inclined bowl centrifuge to provide efficient separation.
Tubular Centrifuge:

Two-Stage Decantation Centrifuge:
